Our mayor is encouraging #HandsFreeHalifax greetings to reduce physical contact while still being friendly.
As the number of COVID-19 cases continues to rise in Canada, Mike Savage says Haligonians can replace handshakes with other fun greetings.
In a video posted to Twitter, Savage suggests alternate methods, including the no-bump fist bump, the moose and an elbow tap.
“When you're careful about how you greet somebody, it's not because you don't care, it's because you do,” Savage says.
