Telephone pole on fire on Caldwell Road near Hines Road (updated: road reopened)

Caldwell Road near Hines road has now reopened to traffic.

Halifax RCMP are asking drivers to avoid the area of Caldwell Road near Hines Road.

RCMP say traffic in the area is backed up in the area due to a telephone pole being on fire.

Emergency services are on scene and will be working in the area for some time, RCMP say.
