By CityNews Halifax Staff

Regional police say they continue to investigate a weapons complaint involving a replica firearm in Halifax over the weekend.

On Sunday at roughly 2:50 p.m., officers received reports of a man with what was believed to be a firearm walking in the area of the York Redoubt National Historic Site on Fergusons Cove Road.

Police say they quickly contained the area, arrested the man and seized the replica firearm.

The man was later released without charges, and the investigation is ongoing.
