Two men charged as police recover weapons, stolen property

Regional police says two men will be in court facing charges related to weapons, drugs and stolen property.

HRP officers arrested the men on Wednesday evening on Barrington St.

Police say officers recovered a long list of items, including a loaded sawed-off shotgun, and unloaded .22 rifle, drug paraphernalia, bikes, power tools, generators or cash.

The two men, aged 45 and 31, have been charged with several offences including possession of stolen property over $5,000, weapon possession, tampering with a serial number on a firearm and possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking.

The men are expected to appear in court at a later date.
