Inmate at Springhill Institution dies in custody

The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) is reporting the death of an inmate at a Nova Scotia prison.
The CSC says it is reviewing the circumstances surrounding the death of 61-year-old John Daley at the Springhill Institution.
Few other details were provided but the agency reported Daley died Oct. 4 while serving an indeterminate sentence that began on March 11, 1998.
Daley’s next of kin has been notified and the CSC will investigate the circumstances leading to his death, as it does with all cases involving the death of an inmate.
