Unsolved murder case of missing woman from Halifax continues

The Halifax Regional Police (HRP) are still investigating the murder of Sheila Madore.

The 48-year-old at the time was last seen in the vicinity of Gottingen Street in Halifax on July 23, 2020. She was first reported missing on Oct. 8 of that year by an outreach nurse.

Madore’s remains were found on March 12 in a wooded area near Elliot Street in Dartmouth.

“It is never too late to come forward and the smallest piece of information may be just what is needed to progress the investigation,” HRP previously said in a news release.

Madore’s case is part of the Nova Scotia Department of Justice Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program.

Anyone providing information leading to an arrest or conviction could receive a cash reward of up to $150,000.

Those with any information on this case can call the program at 1-888-710-9090 or you can call the HRP 902-490-5020.
