Mounties are investigating a vehicle-pedestrian collision that took place in Hammonds Plains Thursday afternoon.
At roughly 3 p.m., emergency crews responded to a report of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Hammonds Plains Road and Yankeetown Road.
RCMP said officers learned that a Hyundai Kona was stopped in a construction zone then struck a worker holding a traffic sign.
The worker, a 63-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital by EHS while the driver, an 82-year-old Hacketts Cove woman, did not suffer physical injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
