Police investigate shooting, attempted home invasion in East Preston

The RCMP asking for information from the public after an incident in East Preston on Friday morning.

Police say at about 4 a.m., a man in a home on Upper Partridge River Road reported hearing multiple people attempting to break in. He believed he heard firecrackers.

The man was not hurt in the incident.

According to the Mounties, investigators at the scene found evidence of a shooting, and they don’t believe the incident was random.

Anyone with information is asked to reach out to police or Crime Stoppers.
