Halifax District RCMP has arrested two people in connection to a firearms and drug investigation.

On Jan. 24, police executed search warrants in Halifax and East Preston.

Mounties said a man and woman were arrested at a property on Upper Partridge Road in East Preston where officers found a quantity of cocaine, scales, drug paraphernalia and two replica firearms during their search.

The 21-year-old woman, of Lower Sackville, has been released on conditions and is set to appear in Dartmouth Provincial court on March 19.

Roman Elroy Thompson, 35, was also released on conditions and is due in Dartmouth Provincial Court later this month.

Both suspects are facing a charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking.
