Two charged after Pictou drug seizure

Two people have been charged following the execution of arrest and search warrants at a home in Pictou.

Police say members of the Pictou County Integrated Street Crime Enforcement Unit arrested Christine Holly Fraser, 33, of Eureka, and David Allen Lemmon, 37, of River John on April 16.

Fraser is charged with two counts of failure to comply with an order and was also arrested on a warrant from New Glasgow Regional Police. Lemmon faces charges of operating a conveyance while prohibited and failure to comply with a probation order.

A search of the home resulted in the seizure of cocaine, methamphetamine, cash, drug paraphernalia and a replica handgun. Fraser was later charged with additional offences, including possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Both appeared in Pictou provincial court on April 17 and were remanded. Fraser is due back in court May 14. Lemmon is scheduled to appear again today.

The investigation continues.
