Rain showers are set to dominate the weekend in Halifax Regional Municipality, but temperatures are set to increase soon.

Saturday, a few showers will roll across the region, with a risk of a thunderstorm in the afternoon, the weather agency notes. Fog will retreat out of the area by morning. By the end of Saturday, precipitation totals are expected to be around 20 millimetres.
Temperatures will hover around 13 C tomorrow and drop to a low of 8 C overnight.
Sunday will be more of the same. Rain will dominate the forecast on Mother’s Day with a high of 11 C.
