A Halifax man has been charged after allegedly forcing children to drink alcohol at Halifax Shopping Centre.
It happened on May 22 around 5:30 p.m. when police say a man followed two teenage boys into a bathroom inside the mall.
The man allegedly forced the young boys inside a bathroom stall, blocking their exit until they drank alcohol.
Police say the same man was observed approaching young girls in the parkade and also pressured them to drink alcohol.
On May 23 at 7:30 p.m., police arrested 27-year-old Mahir Ali Ibrahim without incident. He is facing two counts of forcible confinement and two counts of administering a noxious substance.
Ibrahim was remanded into custody and will appear in Provincial Court on Monday.
