Dartmouth man charged with sexual offences against a young victim

A 30-year-old Dartmouth man has been arrested and charged with sexual offences against a young victim police say was known to him.

Friday evening, in relation to an ongoing sexual assault investigation, Halifax RCMP, assisted by the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division and the Emergency Response Team, executed a warrant to enter a residence near the 9500 block of Highway 7.

RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment (HRD) has charged a man with sexual offences committed against a youth victim known to him.

Inside the home, officers located and arrested a man they say was involved in a sexual assault. Two other men were also arrested for unrelated matters. A stolen motorcycle was also recovered at the scene.

Codie Kenneth Bruce Horne from Dartmouth has been charged with:

  • Uttering Threats;
  • Sexual Assault;
  • Sexual Interference;
  • Invitation to Sexual Touching;
  • Failure to Comply with a Release Order (two counts); and
  • Intimidation of a Justice System Participant.
