The Halifax Convention Centre has been named the “world’s greatest” convention centre by a TV show.

The series, World’s Greatest, which airs on the Bloomberg Network, highlights outstanding companies’ products and services from around the world, and now its putting the spotlight on the venue in Halifax.

The episode was filmed this past June, and it will give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the unique programs and features that the centre has to offer.

According to a release from Events East Group, the centre has successfully hosted nearly 1,000 events, welcomed more than half a million guests and generated an economic impact of $325 million for Halifax and the province since it opened seven years ago.

“I’m proud that the Halifax Convention Centre is being recognized on an international level as a destination of choice, welcoming thousands of guests to our province every single year,” said Premier Tim Houston.

The episode is set to be available for viewing online in Canada at the World’s Greatest’s website after Sept. 13.
