Man threatens gas station employee with knife before fleeing with cash

East Hants RCMP responded to an armed robbery at a gas station in Elmsdale on Monday night, and they are still looking for the suspect.

According to a release, a man entered the gas station on Highway 214, on Sept. 8 around 9:04 p.m. He brandished a knife, and threatened an employee before fleeing with cash, cigarettes, and lottery tickets.

He was last seen entering a silver or light grey hatchback vehicle and during the robbery he was wearing a grey sweater and sweatpants, black Adidas sneakers, and a black baseball cap with the letters K.P.M.G on it.

The East Hants RCMP is asking the public for help identifying the suspect and they are urging anyone with information to contact them at 902- 883-7077 or Crime Stoppers 1-800-222-8477
