P.E.I. RCMP believe speed to be a factor in motorcycle crash that left a man dead

WELLINGTON CENTRE — The Mounties in Prince Edward Island say they are investigating a motorcycle crash that left a man in his 20s dead.

They say officers were called to motorcycle crash on Route 2 in Wellington Centre, which is about 70 kilometres from Charlottetown, in the early hours of Sunday.

Police say the motorcyclist left the road and hit a power pole.

They say they believe speed to be a factor in the crash.

Police say the man was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

They say no one else was injured.
