PWHL to play two games in Halifax for Takeover Tour

Some of the best women’s hockey players in the world will be coming to Halifax.

The Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) announced its Takeover Tour, which will see teams playing games at neutral sites in Canada and the United States.

The tour will include two stops at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, starting with Toronto and Montreal on Dec. 17 and then Ottawa and Boston on Jan. 11.

The games will feature several Nova Scotians, including Toronto’s Blayre Turnbull and Allie Munroe, as well as Boston’s Jill Saulnier.

Scotiabank Centre’s Suzanne Fourgere says the arena is excited to weclome the PWHL to Atlantic Canada for the first time.
