Man charged with impaired driving after weekend fatal crash in Dartmouth

Halifax Regional Police say a 31-year-old man will face several charges, including impaired driving, after a fatal crash in Dartmouth on Saturday night.
Police were called to Highway 107 near Exit 13N around 8 p.m. Saturday after two vehicles collided head-on.
The driver of one vehicle, a 52-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 31-year-old driver of the second vehicle and a 41-year-old passenger were both taken to hospital with mild and serious injuries respectively.
Shaquille David Skinner, 31, has been charged with impaired operation of a vehicle causing death, impaired operation causing bodily harm, dangerous operation causing death and dangerous operation causing bodily harm.
Police say Skinner was also found with a firearm and faces 12 firearm-related charges.
He is scheduled to appear in Halifax provincial court today.
