RCMP charge Debert man with drug offences following investigation

A 22-year-old man is facing charges of drug trafficking after an investigation by the RCMP.

According to the Mounties, the Colchester County District RCMP Community Action Team has arrested the suspect after executing a warrant in relation to the investigation.

On Feb. 4, officers stopped a vehicle on College Road in Bible Hill and safely arrested the lone occupant.

A search of the Hyundai Sonata uncovered a large quantity of suspected cocaine, cash, a digital scale, eight cell phones and a laptop.

Those items were seized.

The suspect, from Debert, will appear in court on Feb. 18 on charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime and two counts of failure to comply with a release order.
