A man and a woman from Hazel Hill, N.S., have been arrested as part of an investigation into drug trafficking between Ontario and Nova Scotia.
On Feb. 13, RCMP stopped a vehicle they believed was returning to Canso, N.S., from Ontario.
Officers safely arrested a 61-year-old female and a 60-year-old man. During a search of the vehicle, they found a quantity of shatter, psilocybin, hashish, cannabis, cash, approximately 175,000 unstamped cigarettes and 18 bottles of alcohol.
Both the man and the woman were released on conditions of a pending court appearance.
RCMP say both individuals will face charges for the illegal sale of cannabis and tobacco products.
