Halifax blood collection service to be closed again on Saturday

Nova Scotia Health says blood collection services will be moved around again on Saturday for those with appointments at the Bayers Road Centre.

That clinic was impacted by what the health authority calls “water-related issues” on Thursday. It was closed on Friday and will remain closed on Saturday.

“Patient appointments will be honoured at other blood collection sites within the Halifax Regional Municipality,” the authority wrote in a media release. “Staff from Bayers Road Centre will assist at those locations.”

It says patients will be contacted by phone to be given the option to reschedule their appointment.
