Mooseheads fall to the Regiment in their final game of the regular season

The Halifax Mooseheads wrapped up the last of their regular season with a 6-4 loss against the Newfoundland Regiment.
The Herd led the score early in the game, but their momentum dropped in the third period, with the Regiment making a comeback.
The Regiments’ Tyson Goguen scored the game winning goal towards the end of the third period. He also provided two assists in the game.
Dawson Sharkey scored the 6th and final goal for the Regiment on an empty net with just three seconds remaining.
Maddex Marmulak gave the Regiment two of his own goals and Justin Larose, Emile Perron, and Blake-Pilgrim Edwards took the three stars.
Despite the tough loss, it wasn’t all bad news for the Herd. Samuel Rousseau scored his first career hat trick in his last regular season game in the QMJHL.
Shawn Carrier scored the other goal late in the second period, with an assist from Rousseau.
With the regular season now over for the Herd, they will be preparing for the QMJHL playoffs. The first-round schedule will be posted to the Mooseheads website.
