Police looking for vehicle possibly connected to North Preston murder

Police are looking for information about a vehicle that was seen leaving North Preston following a murder last November.

On November 2, Mounties responded to reports of shots fired near the intersection of Cain and Clarence streets.

When they arrived, police found 28-year-old Jayden Tynes suffering from gunshot wounds. He was then transported to hospital, where he later died.

Police are now asking for the public’s help as they seek information about a vehicle of interest.

According to the RCMP, it was believed to be a white, four-door Hyundai Elantra with dark tinted windows that was seen travelling south on Lake Major Road shortly after the shooting.

Police said investigators believe this vehicle may be connected with the homicide and are asking the public for information regarding its owner or driver.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police or Crime Stoppers.

Jayden’s murder was recently added to the province’s major unsolved crimes program, which offers rewards of up to $150,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of people responsible for major unsolved crimes.
