Driver with revoked licence suffers serious injuries in motorcycle crash

A crash in Dartmouth on Friday afternoon sent a motorcycle driver to hospital.

According to Halifax Regional Police, the crash happened just before 5 p.m. at the intersection of Portland Street and Highway 111.

“The driver of the car and the passenger were not injured,” read a media release from HRP. “The driver of the motorcycle was transported to the hospital by EHS with what were believed to be serious injuries.”

The motorcycle driver, a 37-year-old, is now facing several charges under the Motor Vehicle Act, including for driving with a revoked licence, driving without insurance and operating an unregistered vehicle.
