54-year-old woman seriously injured after being struck by vehicle

A woman is fighting for her life in hospital after she was struck by a vehicle while crossing the road in Dartmouth on Wednesday.

It happened around 3:25 p.m. in the 20-30 block of Nantucket Avenue. Police told CityNews in an email, it was near the McDonald’s and transit terminal in the area.

The 54-year-old woman was crossing not in a crosswalk, police said, when she was hit by an SUV travelling west

Paramedics brought her to hospital with serious injuries, police said.

The investigation is ongoing.
