Police operation in residential neighbourhood near Dockyard over

Officials asked people to stay away from a large police presence in a community near the Halifax Dockyard.

Halifax Regional Police were in the area of Adams Avenue on Thursday morning in connection with an ongoing investigation. Police have not detailed what type of case.

The roadway was closed between Alvena Cain Avenue (formally Divas Lane) and Brunswick Street for both vehicles and pedestrians. Officials said there is no threat to public safety.
