Adopt Me: Baxter still acts like a puppy

This lab mix would prefer to be the only pet in the household
Baxter

CityNews Halifax, in partnership with the Dartmouth SPCA, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Baxter

Male Neutered Lab mix
5 1/2 years (approximately)
Suitable for children 14 years and up
Only pet home, no apartments

Apparently no one told Baxter that he is no longer a puppy because he sure acts like one.

He was originally adopted from the SPCA as a puppy and has had a good life. Unfortunately, through no fault of his own, his family is no longer able to care for him so he is looking for a new start in life.

It would be fantastic if his new home had a fenced in backyard he could run around in to burn some energy and help him lose weight, as he is a bit stocky.

The weather is getting warmer and Baxter would love for you to come take him for a walk and see if he doesn't steal your heart. Baxter is ready to embark on a new adventure and hopes he finds someone to love him soon.

Baxter is available for adoption from the Dartmouth SPCA. Please contact us at 468-7877 Option 6 for more information or at http://www.novascotiaspca.ca/contact-us/

You can drop by the shelter anytime during our business hours to meet adoptable dogs. We do not accept online applications at this time.

Our hours of operation can be found here: https://www.novascotiaspca.ca/shelters/dartmouth-shelter/
