Adopt Me: Elmo is super affectionate

She would prefer a home with children 14+ and no other animals

HalifaxToday, in partnership with the Dartmouth SPCA, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Elmo has been with the Dartmouth shelter since the end of August. This poor gal was found with a fractured back leg that was beyond repair. It was decided her best chance at living her best life would be to move forward with an amputation.

Elmo has since healed from the surgery and is doing SO well. She is beyond affectionate and loves to roll around her kennel requesting chin scratches.
It is recommended she eats a dental diet to help control dental tartar.

Elmo would do best in a home with older children (14+) and no other animals. A home with little to no stairs would be ideal (maybe even some carpet or stylish rugs to help keep her balance on three legs).

Elmo is available for adoption from the Dartmouth SPCA, Interested in adopting? Read the next steps in the adoption process here:

Please note we are not open for visitors so to meet me you must follow this online process to schedule an appointment.

Unable to adopt? Share this feature on social media so each animal can get the exposure it needs and find a loving home.
