Adopt Me: Gracie loves to sun bathe and snuggle

She is looking for a quiet home with children over 10 years old

CityNews Halifax, in partnership with the Dartmouth SPCA, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Meet Miss Gracie! This seven-year-old lady came into our care in late October due to a change in lifestyle in her previous home. During her time here with us she spent most of it in a foster home so we could see what kind of environment she likes. Her foster family fell so in love with her and they know you will too!

Gracie can be timid here at the shelter, but once she's more comfortable she shows her sweet side. She loves to sun bathe and spend her free time building cardboard box forts.

She has no previous experience living with other cats, so we're unsure how she would feel about a kitty friend and she may be too timid for a home with a high-energy dog. A home without small children, preferably 10 years and older, would be best for this lady as she hasn't had experience around children before either.

Her previous family suggested a quiet home would be best for Gracie, and we agree that would be best. Once settled you will get to watch sweet Gracie come out of her shell, she may just need a bit of time, but we know the right people are out there looking for her. Also she LOVES to snuggle!

Gracie is available for adoption at the Dartmouth SPCA shelter. If interested in adopting please visit this link: Please note the Dartmouth SPCA is open by appointment only.
