Adopt Me: Hailie the Great Pyrenees puppy

She is great with other dogs

CityNews Halifax, in partnership with the Dartmouth SPCA, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Approx Age: < 1 year
Gender: Female
Site: Dartmouth

Hailie came into our care at no fault of her own. She is hoping that we can help her find the best possible fit for her. We are hoping to find a home experienced with Great Pyrenees or other large breed guardian dogs. Despite being only 5 months old, Hailie is a big gal who is only going to get bigger! This breed can get up to around 100+lbs.

This little lady is quite timid when first meeting new people and can be overwhelmed with groups and new environments. Slow introductions are key to help Hailie adjust and gain confidence. Once Hailie has bonded with her people she is a big snuggle bug and would enjoy a home where she can have some nice quiet time with her people.

She is great with other dogs and has been able to find multiple play friends here at the Dartmouth shelter which has helped bring her out of her shell more.

Obedience is mandatory for Hailie (need proof prior to finalizing adoption)

Please stop into the Dartmouth SPCA during our opening hours to meet Hailie, no appointment needed.

We do not accept online applications.
