Adopt Me: Leo is a larger than life dude

His adopters will have to assist with his weight loss and his grooming needs

HalifaxToday, in partnership with the Dartmouth SPCA, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Leo is a larger than life boy! At just over 11 kg, he is in need of a dedicated owner willing to help him on a weight loss journey. Leo received some much needed dental work and is now healing up from that.

He is to maintain a diet called Metabolic or Overweight Management, which can be purchased at your local veterinary hospital. Interactive food toys would be a great tool to help him in a home environment to get up and get some extra exercise.

At his current size Leo's adopters will have to assist him with his grooming needs. His back end/hips will tend to matt and so regular brushing will be a huge benefit for him.

Leo is availabe for adoption through the Dartmouth SPCA shelter. If interested in meeting Leo and adding him to your home please follow this link for the next steps:

Unable to adopt? Share this feature on social media so each animal can get the exposure it needs and find a loving home.
