CityNews Halifax, in partnership with the Dartmouth SPCA, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Leroy

Leroy has been loving his life in an amazing foster home. He is now ready to find a forever home and would love to meet you.

Leroy is a very loving boy. He enjoys cuddling and hanging out with you all day.

He is a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to loud sounds and sudden movements. He would likely be best in a quiet home without children.

His favourite things are hanging out on the windowsill watching the cars, and cuddling under the blankets.

Leroy is estimated at eight years young. He was noted to have bladder crystals and after some treatments and a special urinary diet he has been given the "all-clear" at this time, but does require the special urinary food for life.

Leroy is available for adoption through the Dartmouth SPCA. Interested in adopting? Please review our new adoption process here: https://www.novascotiaspca.ca/adoptionprocess/

We are open to visitors If you are fully vaccinated (e.g. two doses + 14 days) with a COVID-19 vaccine, and not experiencing any symptoms. Please note there may be a slight delay in our website updating. Our hours of operation can be found here: https://www.novascotiaspca.ca/shelters/dartmouth-shelter/

Not fully vaccinated? You may still adopt through an appointment only process, please follow the adoption process steps and wait for an assigned appointment time.
