Adopt Me: Lewis has a great sense of curiosity

He would not be suitable in an apartment

CityNews Halifax, in partnership with the Dartmouth SPCA, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Approx Age: 5 years
Gender: Male
Site: Dartmouth

Lewis is making his adoption debut! He has spent some time in a foster home and his foster mom let us know the following about him:

"Lewis is a friendly, affectionate and playful little guy. He loves sitting by the window to keep watch over whatever is going on in the yard. He will venture outdoors, but prefers the comforts of home. He has a great sense of curiosity and nothing much gets by him. He loves to burrow under the bed covers to make himself a den where he will happily sleep until the next adventure comes his way.

He's fine with other animals, however, given that he's a bit older, he might do better in a home without children.

Lewis can be picked up at the foster's home or at the shelter, whichever is easier."

Lewis is looking for a home with no other animals and no children. His ideal home would be one where he can explore the outdoors after spending time adjusting to the home as we believe this will help curb unwanted behaviours. Not allowing him on your bed may also help with this.

Lewis will NOT be suitable in an apartment or condo.

If you are interested in meeting Lewis, he is not located at the shelter as he is happy in his foster home. Please fill out the online application and we will contact you in regards to meeting him:
