Adopt Me: Peppermint Patty

This senior lady requires a specific veterinary diet to help her lose weight

HalifaxToday, in partnership with the Dartmouth SPCA, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Peppermint Patty

Peppermint Patty made her way to us through one of our other SPCA shelters. She is estimated at around 12 years old and is searching for a home with no young children. She did live with other cats and may adjust to cats that are indifferent to her.

Being a senior lady, we like to cover our bases and we did a urinalysis on her to check how her body is doing as she ages. She was found to actually have a urinary infection. She is on medication to help this.

Peppermint patty is an overweight feline and does need to find a home committed to help bring her down to a more ideal weight so that she can continue to live a nice long life. She was also noted to need some dental work, but is not able to have this done until she is at a more manageable weight to safely undergo anesthesia.

This cutie is needing a specific veterinary diet to help her lose weight. She requires Metabolic dry and wet food to continue her weight loss journey.

P.Patty is available for adoption through the Dartmouth SPCA. If interested in adopting please visit this link for the next steps:
