He is currently on anxiety medication

CityNews Halifax, in partnership with the Dartmouth SPCA, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Valentino

American Staffordshire Terrier mix (~29kgs)
Male neutered
Approximately 2 years
No apartments
Suitable for children 12 years and older

If you are looking for quirky than look no further, we believe Valentino may be the guy for you! His soulful eyes and muscular stature is sure to get people to stop them in their tracks. Valentino loves greeting his favourite people with a big ‘awooo' and picking out only the most luxurious toys.

He enjoys spending his time outside in the backyard but would prefer for you to stick around with him, because of this we feel Valentino may prefer someone home more often than not.

Valentino is currently on anxiety medication since arriving at the shelter and this has seemed to help tremendously but his future family should do some research as he does display some anxious tendencies.

He is learning excellent leash manners and is very eager to please; which will be beneficial in keeping him physically and mentally stimulated.

Valentino is available for adoption from the Dartmouth SPCA. Please contact us at 468-7877 Option 6 for more information or at http://www.novascotiaspca.ca/contact-us/

You can drop by the shelter anytime during our business hours to meet adoptable dogs. We do not accept online applications at this time.

Our hours of operation can be found here: https://www.novascotiaspca.ca/shelters/dartmouth-shelter/
