Two-vehicle crash in New Brunswick claims life of 59-year-old man

SUSSEX, N.B. — A crash in southern New Brunswick involving an SUV and a dump truck has claimed the life of a 59-year-old man from Rogersville, N.B. 

RCMP say the two-vehicle crash occurred Tuesday on Highway 10 in Long Creek, N.B.

Police believe the collision occurred when the driver of the SUV attempted to pass another vehicle and collided with the oncoming dump truck.   

The 59-year-old man, who was the sole occupant of the SUV, died at the scene.  

The driver of the dump truck suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital.   

Police are investigating the cause of the collision.
