NEWS RELEASE
NOVA SCOTIA HEALTH
*************************
Nova Scotia Health’s COVID-19 vaccine outreach clinics will be offering drop-in vaccines in Central, Eastern, Northern and Western zones to help support vaccine accessibility.

The outreach vaccine clinics are focused on providing first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccine to Nova Scotians who are not yet fully vaccinated. Booster doses are available at some drop-in vaccine clinics. Information about which doses will be offered at each clinic can be found at: https://www.nshealth.ca/drop-in-vaccine-clinics. Please check back frequently for additional clinics, cancellations and time changes.

People dropping in to receive their first and second dose of COVID-19 vaccine will also be prioritized over people looking to receive their third (booster) doses.

The interval between first and second doses is 56 days. People can receive their booster dose at least 24 weeks (168 days) after they received the second dose of their primary series. For more information on booster eligibility, visit https://novascotia.ca/coronavirus/vaccine/#additional-doses

If you are attending an anyone aged 5+ clinic, please note that children 5-11 will be moved to a separate line (different dose), which you can expect to move quickly.

Please be aware that due to high volumes, you may experience a long wait outside at vaccine outreach clinics. Please dress for conditions. Standing in line does not necessarily mean you will get a vaccine at this time. Each clinic has a specified amount of vaccine and staff availability. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Transportation to and from vaccine appointments can be organized through Rural Rides for $5 return. Visit https://ruralrides.ca/ to find the nearest provider. Transportation must be booked at least 24 hours in advance.

All eligible Nova Scotians are encouraged to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as soon as possible.

If you prefer to book a vaccine appointment in advance, please visit https://novascotia.flow.canimmunize.ca/en/9874123-19-7418965. You can also book an appointment by calling 1-833-797-7772.Up-to-date information around COVID-19 cases and resources can be found www.novascotia.ca/coronavirus.
