Three Halifax Regional Police employees test positive for COVID-19

The three employees work at the same location while a fourth employee tested positive last week

Three Halifax Regional Police (HRP) employees — all who work at the same location — have tested positive for COVID-19.

A fourth HRP employee from the same location also tested positive on Feb. 26.

The employees are police officers and not civilian employees.

HRP is working with Public Health to facilitate the testing and self-isolation of its employees. Physical distancing and cleaning protocols have also been "reinforced consistently."

“We are also considering the possibility of temporary flexible work arrangements and re-deployments that could offer extra protection to our employees while causing minimal disruption to service delivery," an HRP news release says.
