A different Nocturne with the same spirit being planned for 2020

Nocturne is a go for 2020, but the annual nighttime arts festival will be different this year.
“We've decided to move away from the one night festival, so instead of just that one Saturday night, we'll have projects throughout the week from October 12 to the 17th,” explained executive director Lindsay Ann Cory. “There will be a lot of virtual projects, but there will still be some key physical installations.”
“So a little bit of both, but giving people more of an opportunity to see everything rather than rushing downtown all on one night.”
The event will be complying with all COVID-19 regulations and Cory said even though it will have a different feel, she believes Nocturne will have still have the same spirit as previous years.
“Nocturne is really just a chance for artists and the public to connect and we're just doing it a bit differently,” she told NEWS 95.7's The Sheldon MacLeod Show.
Organizers have released a list of artists taking part in the festival and plan to announce more details on how to participate soon.
“You'll start to see us roll out more information on each of the projects, as well as a full schedule in the next few weeks,” Cory said.
That information will be found on Nocturne's website, along with its social media pages.
