A spate of spare tires thefts have been reported in HRM

Local police say the spare tires from several Jeeps have gone missing in the past week.

Halifax District RCMP and Halifax Regional Police have received 12 reports of stolen tires between February 19 and 25.

Thieves appear to be targeting 2017 and 2018 Jeep Wranglers, which were parked in both public places and commercial parking lots.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Halifax District RCMP or Halifax Regional Police at 902-490-5020, or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.
