If you use the harbour ferry, you might need to shuffle your schedule starting Monday.

Halifax Transit says as of Monday, Alderney ferry service will be reduced to every 30 minutes from 2 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.

The ferry is expected to run every 15 minutes in the mornings.

Halifax Transit says the reduction in service is due to staffing shortages which have already led to many bus trips being cancelled over the summer months.

The Woodside ferry is not impacted, but there were a number of cancellations to that service on Monday morning as well.
