Dollar Lake closed to swimmers; Kinap Beach reopens

UPDATE: Dollar Lake has reopened to swimmers.

HRM's Dollar Lake is closed to swimmers.

Nova Scotia Provincial Parks says testing has confirmed high bacteria levels.

An update will be released when new water quality test results are available.

Meanwhile, HRM says Kinap Beach in Porters Lake has reopened to swimmers.

Previous tests had shown high bacteria levels in the water, but follow-up tests now say the water once again meets Health Canada guidelines.
