Driver charged after vehicle pedestrian collision in Halifax

Police say the 32-year-old man was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries

Regional Police have charged a driver after a vehicle pedestrian collision in Halifax this past weekend.

On Saturday at roughly 7:30 p.m., police reponded to a vehicle pedestrian collision at the intersection of Lynnett Road and Forbes Street where the driver of the vehicle was turning right and struck a man who was crossing Lynnette Street at the intersection.

Police say the 32-year-old man was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. 

The driver of the vehicle, a 49-year-old man, was issued a summary offence ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
