SAINT JOHN, N.B. - Arnaud Durandeau scored three goals to help lead the Halifax Mooseheads to a 7-1 victory over the Saint John Sea Dogs on Saturday night.

Saint John put Blade Mann-Dixon to work in the opening period, with 15 shots on goal. Kevin Gursoy eventually got one through to give the Sea Dogs a 1-0 lead, but Halifax's Benoit Olivier-Groulx managed to tie things up at 1-1 near before the end of the opening frame.

After that, it was all Mooseheads, as Walter Flower scored his first of the season to give Halifax their first lead of the game. Arnaud Durandeau followed up with two goals before the end of the second to give Halifax a comfortable 4-1 lead.

The Mooseheads carried that momentum into the final period, with Durandeau completing the hat trick. Filip Zadina and Connor Moynihan netted another pair to help give the Herd an impressive 7-1 victory.

On Sunday, the Herd will make their way to Bathurst to take on the Acadie-Bathurst Titan.
