Federal NDP leader to visit Halifax on Friday

By Mark Hodgins

Nova Scotia has been a popular place for federal party leaders during the last week of the election campaign.

That will continue to be the case on Friday, when NDP leader Jagmeet Singh stops in the Halifax area.

After starting his day in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Singh has events scheduled in HRM Friday afternoon.

He's scheduled to visit the Futures Cafe at Building Futures in Sackville at 3:30 p.m. before meeting with supporters near the Halifax Common Pavilion at 4:30 p.m.

Liberal leader Justin Trudeau was also in Halifax earlier this week, and CPC leader Erin O'Toole held a rally in Truro on Thursday.
