Four charged at planned demonstration in Dartmouth

Halifax Regional Police say four people have been arrested at a planned demonstration in Dartmouth.

Police say it happened Tuesday morning at a construction site in the area of Mount Hope Avenue near Highway 111.

“Four individuals in the group attempted to obstruct police and were arrested,” HRP alleged in a news release. “While being arrested one of the four also assaulted an officer. “

A 45-year-old man, a 41-year-old man, a 27-year-old man and a 57-year-old woman each face one count of obstruction. 

The 57-year-old woman is also facing charges of assaulting an officer.
