Four units damaged in small north-end fire

HALIFAX – No one was hurt but four units sustained damage in a small fire on Gottingen Street Thursday afternoon.

Halifax Fire was called to an apartment building at 2530 Gottingen Street near North Street around 1:15 p.m. where a fire on the second floor had already been extinguished by sprinklers in the building.

Four units sustained damage, one from the fire and three others from water, residents will be temporarily displaced.

A cause of the fire has yet to be released.
