Gas prices expected to drop slightly this week in Nova Scotia

By Dan Ahlstrand

There may be some relief coming to gasoline pumps across Nova Scotia this week,

Our newsroom is predicting that when regulated prices are adjusted at midnight, they will fall by about a penny per litre.

George Murphy of Consumers for Fair Gas Prices says market indicators are showing that more oil is coming to the markets for sale, which impacts price.

“The last U.S. report showed a pretty good build in crude oil inventory, along with a 1.9 million barrel build in gasoline inventory so the signals are there,” said Murphy.

Across the border in New Brunswick, regulated prices fell by 1.3 cents to a new maximum price of 133.9.
