Gasoline prices are poised to rise across Nova Scotia tonight.
Our newsroom is predicting that when the UARB resets prices at midnight, they will jump by about two cents per litre.
Dan McTeague of gasbuddy.com says he isn't expecting the normal drop in price that we see in the fall until late November, and then warns there will be a jump early in 2018.
"Lurking behind every corner is the 2.7 cents per litre increase that you're going to get - taxes included - come Jan. 1, as a result of the federal government's imposition of its carbon tax," said McTeague.
In New Brunswick prices climbed by 2.3 cents to a new maximum price of 113.2.
