Gas prices fall six cents overnight in Nova Scotia

HALIFAX – Drivers will notice a big drop in the price of gasoline in Nova Scotia on Friday. 

Provincially regulated prices fell 6.3 cents at midnight moving the minimum price of $1.24.5/L. 

Prices for diesel also fell but not as much, trending down 2.9 cents per litre to $1.21.6/L. 

One year ago, Nova Scotians were paying $1.06/L for gasoline and 95 cents per litre for diesel. 

Oil was trading at $45.58 US per barrel, $20 less than Thursday's closing price of $65.58.
